Kashmir Train Suspended After Attack

KL Report

Srinagar

The Qazigund-Baramulla train was suspended on Sunday afternoon after violent clashes hit the south Kashmir protesting the mysterious death of a student in a Hyderabad University.

“The train was stoned at a number of places on way from Baramulla to Qazigund, so we have decided to detain it at Qazigund till the situation improves,” a railway official told Kashmir Life.

Meanwhile heavy deployment has been put in force at Parigam, the native village of Mudassir, who was found dead mysteriously. Locals allege that police has imposed curfew in Parigam and Pulwama and they are not being allowed to move out of their homes.

The police sources however, denied the allegation and said that there are some restrictions in place in order to avoid any law and order problem but curfew is not in place.
