SRINAGAR: Delhi Public School Srinagar alumna Seerat Parvaiz has secured admission to the MBA programme at Harvard Business School, the school announced on Friday.

Seerat, daughter of Peerzada Parvaiz Ahmad Shah and Masrat Jabeen from Konan area of Bandipora district, has also secured admission offers from London Business School and INSEAD. She is awaiting final decisions from Stanford Graduate School of Business and MIT Sloan School of Management.
According to the school, Seerat completed her schooling up to Class XII at DPS Srinagar before pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, where she graduated with distinction.
She later worked as a Product Manager in Dubai for three years before appearing in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), through which she secured admissions to leading international business schools.
Speaking about her academic journey, Seerat said the foundation laid at DPS Srinagar played an important role in shaping her outlook and ambitions.
“I hope this shows students that the world is genuinely open to them, wherever they are starting from. That path from Kashmir can lead anywhere,” she said.
Her parents described the achievement as the result of years of focused effort and support from family and educational institutions.
Principal Shafaq Afshan said Seerat’s admission to Harvard Business School reflected the academic standards and learning environment fostered at the institution.
Chairman Vijay Dhar said her achievement demonstrated that students from Jammu and Kashmir can compete at international academic levels and pursue opportunities at leading global institutions.
