SRINAGAR: A Kashmiri boy has secured 93% marks in Indian School Certificate (ISC) examination which is considered impressive by all standards.

Times of India reported that Fardeen Barkat Khan, a Kashmiri boy schooling in Pune, scored an impressive 93% in the standard XII ISC examination, results of which were announced on May 29 by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).

CISCE is recognized world over because its syllabus is at par with global standards.

A student of The Bishop’s School, Camp, Khan is a passionate footballer and balanced his academics and extra-curricular activities, the newspaper reported.

Khan’s father had migrated to Pune 20 years ago from Kashmir. Fardeen schooled at The Bishop’s School and secured 91% in standard X. A science student he is keen to join the medical stream. He has applied for engineering and medical education and is waiting for results. He eventually wishes to be a civil servant.
