Army based in Jammu region on Saturday claimed that three suspected militants died while they allegedly tried to enter J&K in Poonch sector, business-standard.com reported this afternoon.
Kashmir valley is under strict for over a week now following killing of unarmed protestors by government forces since last Saturday (July 08, 2016). Protests erupted when forces killed militant commander Burhan Wani in Kokernag area of South Kashmir on July 08 evening.
Defence Spokesperson Colonel S D Goswami was quoted by ANI as having said, “in a 36-hour long operation, the army killed three militants early in the morning, while they were trying to enter Sabjia area of Poonch.” “A combing operation is now in progress,” he added.
