Attendants in Kashmir’s prominent government hospital SMHS are up and arms against lack of basic facilities. The attendants suffered problem due to the non-availability of Medicines. Patients have to purchase the medicines from the market, and authorities are in deep slumber.

According to Attendants the hospital staff is asking patients who have to undergo surgeries to buy the costly medicines from the market as they lack of such medicine which should have been available there.

At SMHS hospital, an Attendant with a patient, Suhail Ahmad Mir said that he was asked by the hospital staff to get some basic medicines from the market before his treatment, which is a sheer injustice with us. He said that we are being treated as cattles.

Many Attendants alleged that we are forced to buy medicines from outside of the hospital. Attendants also added that the main hospital have limited bed for patients.

Rasheed Ahmad from Bandipora said that patients in Kashmir hospitals face huge inconvenience due to lack of heating arrangement. He said patients admitted in the hospital shiver and are forced to leave the hospital due to non availability of proper heating system in hospital.
