Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir senior leader and chairperson of National Front, Nayeem Ahmad Khan Friday condemned the detention of students from Jammu and Kashmir in Rajasthan and the continuous detention of pro-freedom people in different police stations and jails in the ongoing winter season, a party statement said.

“Kashmiri Muslims do not feel secure in any part of India nor in Kashmir because the uniformed people have made their habit to target them as and when they get any excuse,” the statement quoted Khan as having said.

Khan said that even a quarrel between two groups of students ended on the arrest of innocent Kashmiri students in Rajasthan University “who had nothing to do with the quarrel”.

He, according to the statement, demanded immediate release of the Kashmiri students so that their educational career does not get affected. “The acts of targeting Kashmiri students, India wants to frighten Kashmiri people so that they give up their demand of freedom. But the Kashmiri people will not give up their genuine demand,” he further said.

Senior resistance leader Khan also said that pro-freedom people of Kashmir are being continuously detained in different police stations and jails in the ongoing winter season which badly affects their lives.

“Hundreds of families have to suffer badly due to continuous detention of the pro-freedom people and with the result their children and parent’s lives get badly suffered,” he added demanding immediate and unconditional release of all the political prisoners.
