Internet services were suspended on Wednesday following the encounter between the government forces and militants in Wani Mohalla, Khudwani village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Internet services were suspended shortly after clashes broke out near the encounter site in Khudwani. An official said that the decision to snap internet services was taken as a “precautionary measure” to ignore any untoward incident.

The encounter broke out on Tuesday night in Wani Mohalla of Khudwani village, so far one army man has been killed while two others have sustained injuries and a civilian Sharjeel Ahmed Sheikh, a local resident was also killed during the clashes near the encounter site.
