The Khyber Himalayan Resort & Spa Saturday in a glittering ceremony at picturesque Gulmarg felicitated the travel agents of Kashmir with “The Khyber Travel Agents” excellence awards, 2015-16.
Srinagar based Mascot Travels was felicitated with “The Khyber Peerless Award” which was received by its CEO, Muhammad Yasin Tuman.
In the “Voter Choice Award” Green Gold Holidays emerged the winner, while in the “Group Business Leader Award” Elizabeth Travels was declared the winner.
On the occasion the top ten travel agents (on basis of productivity) were also felicitated. The awardees included Mazda Travels, Mascot Travels, Shangloo Travels Pvt Ltd, Dastan Tours, Peakmark Adventure, Shah Travels Pvt Ltd., Honey Gold Travel and Tours, Shahnama Tours, Shiraz Travels and Earth Explorer respectively.
The “Leading in Group Business” award was given to Shiraz Travels, while the “Promising Travel Agent” went to OMG Luxury Holidays, Ashaan Tours, Columbia Tours and Travels respectively.
On the occasion General Manager, The Khyber Himalayan Resort & Spa, Sujith Herbert lauded the “outstanding” contribution of the travel trade for their on-going support in promoting Gulmarg and the resort.
“The Khyber Travel Agents’ Excellence awards are an acknowledgement of the support and efforts by our partners in the travel industry to promote Gulmarg and The Khyber. Without their collaboration we could not have achieved the status of the best boutique hotel in India,” Herbert said.
