Terming the killing of a youth Tanveer Sultan by forces in Kud area of Jammu as “another gift of Ms Mehbooba Mufti-led government”, the incarcerated Hurriyat Conference (g) Secretary General and chairperson of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Wednesday said that Mehbooba must now “confess that these killings are part of her father’s vision”.

In a statement issued to press, Shah said, “Ms Mehbooba Mufti must not shy away from admitting that the killing of Kashmiri youth is part of her father’s vision of which she is repeatedly talking about. Mehbooba is pleasing her masters in Delhi in the same way as her predecessors.”

“The worst part is that to please the Delhi masters, the puppet rulers are justifying the innocent killings in every way. If Mehbooba would have been out of power, she would have made much noise and shed crocodile tears over the killing. Now, the justifying of the killing by her minster in assembly reveals his mental illness,” he said.

Shah said, “the people of Islamabad must remain vigilant and not fall into the trap of few elements with vested interest. “They must stay away from the sham elections and not strengthen the hands of killers. They must ponder over the fact that if they support the killers, they would be the only nation in the world to do so. The people of Islamabad must teach a befitting lesson to these collaborators of New Delhi.”

The pro-freedom leader termed every “probe by any government agency as joke saying this amounts to rub salt to the injuries of the victims”.

He reiterated his appeal to world human rights bodies to take cognizance of the “grave situation in Kashmir where killings by occupational rulers have become a routine”.

Meanwhile, on the directions of Shabir Ahmad Shah, a delegation comprising of Bashir Ahmad Khan, Muhammad Yousuf, and Ghulam Muhammad Khan participated in the funeral prayers of slain Tanveer. “Another delegation led by Muhammad Amin Bhat visited the family of Ghulam Hassan Bhat in Sopore whose two sons were martyred recently. The delegation expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.”
