Kishtwar rape accusedIn a shocking case of alleged gang rape of 15 year old teenage girl hailing from remote Bhatkot village of Kuntwara area in Kishtwar District, Munsif Judge Kishtwar Omesh Sharma today remanded two accuse namely Ranjeet Singh (25 yrs)  son of Duni Chand and Sanjeet Kumar Sharma (27 yrs) son of Manghat Ram Sharma an ReT teacher to 10 days police custody. Kishtwar police party lead by Sub Inspector Zaheer Iqbal produces both the accused before Munsif judge Kishtwar who after going through the case dairy handed over the custody of both the accuse to police till 6-8-2013. Police also conducted the medical examination of both the accuse at District Hospital Kishtwar before producing them in a court.

Meanwhile the victim recorded her statement U/S 164 Cr.PC before the Munsif judge. In her statement before the judge, the victim narrated the trauma through which she had undergoing during her forceful captivity. She in her statement said that while she was grazing cattle in nearby forest, accuse Ranjeet Singh and Sanjeet Kumar kidnapped her forcefully. She said that the two accuse tied her mouth and eyes with cloths and committed rape on her. She said that later the two accuse shifted her in a house of another accuse Khem Raj son of Nek Ram. She said that after keeping her inside the house of Khem Raj, she somehow manage to remove the cloth from her eyes and saw Khem Raj and Charu Ram son of Manghat Ram along with two other accuse who also committed rape on her. She said that while the accuse were committing rape on her, she feel unconscious. She said that after regaining her conscious, she found herself in a forest area and after that started heading
towards her home. She said that while heading today’s her home, she find Chowkidar Nek Ram midway who later accompanied her up to her home. She in her statement said that she did not talk to Nek Ram about the incident and only disclose the same to family members after reaching home who in return brought the matter into the notice of police.

Meanwhile Kishtwar police conducted raid at several places to make the arrest of two other accused who were at large after committing the crime. “We have framed several teams who are on job and hopefully the culprits will be arrested sooner or later” said a senior police officer in Kishtwar. However when last report came in, no arrest among the two absconding accuse has been made by the police.
