SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas of Kashmir will remain affected on different dates this week due to scheduled maintenance shutdowns on various 33 kV lines, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said on Monday.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 kV Kangan-Surfraw line will remain shut from 9 am to 3 pm on September 22, affecting power supply to Gund, Kullan, Gagangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw and Ganiwan and adjoining areas.
The 33 kV Airforce line will remain shut from 11 am to 3 pm on September 23, affecting Peerbagh, Cooperative Colony, Jeelanabad, Hyderpora, Nadru, PHQ, Airport, Sheikhpora, Friends Colony, Humhama Heights and Tawheed Bagh, among other areas.
On the same day, the 33 kV Pohrupeth tapline of the 33 kV Handwara Hot line will remain shut from 9 am to 3 pm, affecting power supply to the Flour Mill and Army Camp.
The 33 kV Pampore-BK Pora line will remain shut from 9 am to 3 pm on September 24 and 28, affecting BK Pora, Khanda, Chattergam, Kenihama, Summerbugh, Shalina, Wagoora, Wadipora, Aribagh and Checkpora and adjoining areas.
The 33 kV Budgam line will also remain shut from 9 am to 3 pm on September 24, affecting Budgam, Sebdan, Nasrullahpora, Jawalapora, Ompora, SIDCO, Housing Colony, Railway Station Budgam and NIFT, among other areas.
The 33 kV Badampora-Lar Tulmulla line will remain shut from 9 am to 3 pm on September 24 and 29. The shutdown will affect Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Theeru and Larsun and adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, the 33 kV Kangan-Kangan line will remain shut from 9 am to 3 pm on September 26, affecting Mammer, Wangath, Kangan, Akhal, Baba Nagri and Canal areas.
KPDCL said the shutdowns have been scheduled to facilitate necessary maintenance work on the respective transmission lines.
