SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns on several 33 kV transmission lines in Baramulla and adjoining areas in October, affecting electricity supply between 9 am and 3 pm on specified dates.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown of the 33 kV Baramulla-I line will affect GMC, New DIC, DIC, Short Delfina, Old Army, Main Bazar, Ushkura, PHE, Microwave, Sangri and adjoining areas on October 3, 7 and 12.
The 33 kV Baramulla-II line will remain shut on October 5, 10 and 12, affecting Old Town, Azad Gunj, Janbazpora, Baghi Islam, Jalsheeri, Tawheed Gunj, PHE, Irrigation, Zogiyar, Fatahgarh, Irrigation Sheeri and STC, among other areas.
Power supply to Salamabad, NPHC, MES, Garkote, Balkote, Bandi, Uri, Mohura, Rampur, Bani, Bijhama and Dhani will be affected due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Uri line on October 7, 9 and 12. The 33 kV Boniyar line will be shut on October 1 and 3, affecting Boniyar, Trikanjan, Limber, Nowshera, JNV and adjoining areas.
The shutdown of the 33 kV Watergam line on October 3, 6 and 13 will affect Watergam, Hachipora, Palpora, Behrampora and Dangiwacha. Meanwhile, the 33 kV SIDCO line will remain shut on October 8 and 12, affecting Rohama, Panzla, Shufroo, Tragpora, Chakloo, Nadihal, Aqua, Ladoora and Seer, besides adjoining areas.
The 33 kV Malpora line will be shut on October 13, 15 and 17, affecting Chandoosa, Hospital, Dangerpora, Sultanpora, Gantamulla, Malpora, Heevan and Namblan. The shutdown of the 33 kV Delina line on October 3, 5 and 7 will affect Delina, Kanispora, Singhpora, BSF, Jetty, Kralhar, TC PHE and Sopore-II, among other areas.
The 33 kV Pattan-Amargarh line will remain shut on October 5 and 8, affecting Pattan, Palhalan, Zangam, Nihalpora, Hanjivera, Trauma, Hamray, Tapper, Wanigam, Lolipora, Hyderbeigh, Cold Store, GYGAM, North End Hospital and Railway Hamray. The Pattan-Amargarh line beyond Pattan will also be shut on October 13 and 15, affecting Palhalan, Hamray, Lolipora, Wanigam and adjoining areas.
The shutdown of the 33 kV HMT line on October 6, 12 and 14 will affect Singhpora, Dulsipora, Diver, Mirgund, Rambilgarh and Shadipora. The HMT Mirgund tapline will remain shut on October 17, affecting Mirgund, Rambilgarh and adjoining areas.
The 33 kV Wagoora line will be shut on October 1, 3 and 5, affecting Wagoora, Kawcheck, Mangam, Watergam, Kreeri, Saloosa, Sangrama, Nowpora and Boosu. The shutdown of the 33 kV Kreeri tapline on October 7 will affect Kreeri, Saloosa and adjoining areas.
All the scheduled shutdowns will be observed from 9 am to 3 pm, KPDCL said.
