KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown in Various Areas for Maintenance

   

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across various parts of Srinagar between July 2 and 7.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown is necessary to facilitate the evacuation of power for the GIS Harwan project and for stabilisation and maintenance of 33KV lines in the region.

As per the schedule, the 33KV Burzhama Tap line will be shut down on July 2, 5 and 7, resulting in the closure of the 33/11KV Receiving Station at Burzhama. Consequently, power supply to areas including Danihama, Khimber, Chaterhama, Tailbal, Burzhama, Gassu, Shoperbagh, Rahbagh, and Batpora will remain suspended from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the mentioned dates.

In addition, maintenance work on the 33KV Pampore–Badamibagh Trunk line will cause power cuts on July 2 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Affected Receiving Stations include Sonwar, Badamibagh, Panthachowk, Lasjan, Flour Mills, Government Press, GB Pant Hospital, and WSS Tangnar. Localities impacted by this shutdown will include Sonwar, Indra Nagar, Batwara, Shivpora, Badamibagh, Lasjan, and adjoining areas.

Furthermore, on July 6, the 33KV Khonmoh SIDCO-3rd line will undergo shutdown from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, affecting the power supply to Cement Plants (Khyber SAIFCO/TCI Max) and neighbouring areas.
