SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across various areas of Kashmir to carry out essential maintenance and upgradation works on the power infrastructure.
According to the Chief Engineer of the Distribution wing, the 33KV Bandipora line will be shut down on 12 and 16 April 2025 from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. As a result, the 33/11KV receiving stations at Watlab, Tujjar, and Dooru will remain non-operational, affecting power supply to Watlab, Tujjar, Dooru, and nearby areas during the specified period.
In a separate shutdown, the 33KV Arampora line, under the jurisdiction of STD-1st, will be switched off on 15 April 2025 from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. This will impact the functioning of the 33/11KV receiving stations at Arampora, Panzipora, Sheer Colony, and Bugoo, thereby affecting power supply to these areas and their surroundings.
Additionally, to facilitate tree chopping and road-cross conductor stringing works at Narbal Station and Narbal Bridge, the 33KV Sharifabad-Narbal line will undergo shutdown on 12 April 2025 from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. This will disrupt power supply from the Narbal and Sanoor receiving stations, impacting areas including Narbal, Sanoor, Radbugh, Malpora, Kawoosa, Sozeith, Lawaypora, and adjacent localities.
KPDCL has advised the public to make necessary arrangements during these scheduled outages and assured that the works are part of efforts to enhance power infrastructure reliability.
