SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has informed that a planned shutdown of the 33 kV KP Bagh line and 33 kV Exhibition line will be carried out on May 19, May 21, and June 1, 2026, resulting in temporary disruption of power supply in several areas of Srinagar.
According to the official communication, the shutdown will affect power supply from 10 am to 3:30 pm on the specified dates.
Areas likely to be impacted include KP Bagh, Soiteng, PHE, Mehjoor Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Kursoo Rajbagh, Rajbagh Bund, Rajbagh, Gogjibagh, Museum and adjoining localities.
KPDCL stated that the shutdown has been scheduled to facilitate maintenance works on the transmission lines. Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements in advance.
