KPDCL Schedules Power Shutdown in Several Areas

   

SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas of Srinagar and its outskirts will be affected on October 6, 7 and 12 due to scheduled shutdowns of multiple 33 kV transmission lines, the Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has said.

According to the shutdown schedule, power supply to Pandach, Pathan Colony, Gulabagh, Mir Mohalla, Umarhair, Nowbugh, Ahmad Nagar, 90 Feet Road, Khalmullah, Shuhama, Bakura, Darend, Nagbal, Fatehpora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Chunduna, Saloora, Shairpathri and adjoining areas will remain affected from noon to 2 pm on October 6 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Alusteng-Zakoora feeder and 33 kV Alusteng-Nagbal line.

Supply to Kondabal, Hassanabad, Hazaribagh, JLNM Hospital, Jogilanker, Maqdoom Sahib, Miskeen Bagh and Rozbal and adjoining areas will be affected from 8 am to 2 pm on October 6 and 12 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Wanganpora-Khanyar-Rainawari line.

On October 7, the shutdown of the 33 kV Airforce line from 10 am to 3 pm will affect Peerbagh, Cooperative Colony, Jeelanabad, Hyderpora, Nadru, PHQ, Airport, Sheikhpora, Friends Colony, Humhama Heights, Tawheed Bagh and adjoining areas.

The shutdown of the 33 kV Cheshmashahi-TRC-Nedous line from 11 am to 2 pm on October 7 will affect power supply to the Chief Minister’s residence, Deputy Chief Minister’s residence, Paras Hospital and the 11 kV F4 Sonwar line.

The shutdowns have been scheduled for maintenance-related work on the respective power lines.
