A group of Kashmir University students Thursday met union Human Resource Development Minster M M Pallam Raju and apprised him about the plight of student community faced at higher level of education.

“Some pressing demands to ensure the smooth teaching learning atmosphere were presented before the Minister,” the students said in a statement.

“JKPCC president Prof Saif-ud-din Soz was also present in the meeting. He also pleaded for removing the difficulties and impediments faced by the students in this conflict ridden part of the country, where there is need for some special dispensation and concession to be granted to the student’s community who carry on their academic and co-curricular activities despite odds and unfavorable and turbulent conditions prevalent in the valley,” they added.
