SRINAGAR: The Kupwara district administration has issued a weather advisory in view of the inclement weather forecast by the Meteorological Centre Srinagar for the period from July 19 to July 23, 2026.
According to the advisory, residents of Keran, Karnah, Machil, Budnamal, Jumugund, Nowgam and Kumkadi, as well as those living near nallahs, rivers and landslide-prone hilly areas, have been advised to avoid venturing into vulnerable locations until weather conditions improve due to the risk of flash floods and landslides.
Tourists, travellers and transporters have also been urged to check the latest road conditions before travelling to hilly areas of the district.
