Day after a Lieutenant Colonel was seriously injured in an ongoing gun-battle with militants in North Kashmir’s Kupwara, reports said one militant was killed in a fresh firing Monday morning.
With the resumption of the gun-battle this morning, extra forces were rushed to the area preventing fleeing of militants, reports said. “During the operation, the soldiers managed to kill one of the militants and rest are believed to be hiding in a nearby jungle.”
A Lieutenant Colonel of 160 Territorial Army was severely injured Sunday during an operation with militants at Handwara area. Also, on Nov 17, an Army Colonel was killed in an encounter in Kupwara.
