The Committee on Government Assurances of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Wednesday directed the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department to fulfil all pending Government Assurances in a time bound manner.

The meeting was convened here under the chairmanship of MLA, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen to discuss and examine the Action Taken Reports (ATRs) on 19th report of the Committee of Assurances besides reviewing overall functioning of the R&B department, an official statement said Wednesday evening.

Legislators, Zahoor Ahmed Mir, Sham Lal Choudhary, Dr Gagan Bhagat and Noor Mohammad Sheikh attended the meeting and stressed upon the officers of R&B department to gear up their field functionaries and achieve the targets in full.

Threadbare discussion was held on Action Taken Report of various Government Assurances pertaining to Roads and Buildings Department (R&B).

The Panel was apprised by the R&B authorities about the measures taken by the department to raise the road infrastructure in the state besides physical and financial achievements by the department.

The Panel directed the concerned to furnish proper reply to the members of the Committee well in time.

Among others, Secretary, (Tech) R&B, Chief Engineer, PMGSY Kashmir, XENs, SEs, and other senior officers of R&B department besides officers and officials of Assembly Secretariat were also present on the occasion.
