SRINAGAR: Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has been given the additional charge of Jammu and Kashmir during the leave of incumbent LG Manoj Sinha, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Tuesday.
According to a presidential communique, Saxena will discharge the functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir in addition to his existing responsibilities as Ladakh LG.
The arrangement takes immediate effect and is intended to ensure continuity in the administration of Jammu and Kashmir during Sinha’s absence.
Sinha has proceeded on leave, following which the President has entrusted Saxena with the additional responsibility until the regular incumbent resumes charge.
