SRINAGAR

As bad weather persists, traffic authorities Friday decided against any fresh traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar Highway.

The decision has disappointed hundreds of stranded passengers—many of whom are pressing government to airlift them to Srinagar.

The Highway was closed for traffic movement on Wednesday after rains triggered landslides in number of places. On Thursday, traffic authorities had cleared some vehicles and trucks carrying essential supplies.
