Tasadduq Mufti, the brother of the chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti, and son of late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed Saturday joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on the first death anniversary of his late father.
He announced his joining father’s party at a function held at Indoor Stadium Srinagar to remember late Mufti.
Speaking on the occasion, Tasadduq said that he was inspired by his late father. “I am not joining PDP being a son of late Mufti but only after being inspired by the amount of work PDP has done for the state and people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Tasadduq pledged to bring “common people and VIPs walk together.”
