SRINAGAR: An advocate allegedly shot himself dead in Kishtwar late Monday night, causing panic in the area.
Local news agency JKNS, quoting sources, reported that an advocate allegedly shot himself in Akhyarabad later in the evening.
They added that he used his licensed weapon. Following the incident, the body was shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar for medico-legal formalities.
He was identified as Advocate Ghulam Nabi Zargar, a resident of Akhyarabad, Kishtwar.
Security forces rushed to the spot soon after the incident. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the facts. (JKNS)
