The newly constructed 200 bedded block of Lal Ded hospital which is complete in every respect but yet to be inaugurated, was found leaking on Thursday from its walls. The leakage even surprised the minister for medical education RS Chib, who was on a surprise visit to the site.
It took the minister with surprise when he found the newly constructed building was leaking from a wall in ground floor and water was coming out profusely.
According to eyewitness, “when Chib saw water coming out from the wall of a room, he got so angry that he even raised his arm.”
The additional block is coming up at an estimated cost of Rs. 10 crores by a private construction company JKPCC. PCC is already in dock as in another incident of Jammu where a wall of Assembly complex constructed by the company, came down recently.
However, a 5 member panel has already been asked to investigate the collapse of assembly wall.
