Even if seat of chief executive of Jammu and Kashmir has been replaced with astute politician Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, former tech savvy J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has been ‘on his toes’ suggesting tourists to visit Kashmir though in virtual space, only.

Omar, who has kept PDP-BJP coalition government on toes in ongoing assembly session in Jammu has been tweeting and asking tourists not to ‘abandon’ Kashmir as favourite tourist destination in view of ‘Water Logging’.

In a series of tweets, Omar wrote that spring has bloomed in valley.

“The tulips will soon be in bloom & the valley is the most gorgeous green, Gulmarg still has snow & the Lidder is roaring in Pahalgam,” he tweeted. “So if you are looking for a holiday or even a short break look no further than Kashmir. Everyone here is waiting to welcome you.”

Omar also lamented that cell phone and internet services disappeared in view of the “Flood Threat”.

“Like a lot of our tourists it would seem that cell phone & internet services have also disappeared in anticipation of much discussed “flood,” he said. “The worst of the water logging is behind us & the fear of floods has been dispelled by the Govt. Please come visit Kashmir in the spring.”
