Official sources said that the operation is part of a larger anti-terror crackdown, with JK Police expanding its scope beyond the Union Territory and carrying out operations in Punjab with assistance from central agencies.

Sources said the action was based on intelligence inputs and digital intercepts suggesting the presence of a Lashkar network outside JK. Investigations are underway to ascertain possible links with local networks.

Officials said further details will be shared after completion of the ongoing operation. (KNC)
