LG Manoj Sinha Visits Family of Slain Police Head Constable in Budgam

   

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday visited Lalpora in Beerwah, Budgam district, to meet the family of slain Jammu and Kashmir Police Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, paying tributes to the slain policeman and assuring his family of the nation’s continued support.

Sharing details of the visit in a social media post, the Lieutenant Governor said he expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and honoured the police officer’s sacrifice in the line of duty.

“Visited Lalpora, Beerwah, Budgam to meet the family members of Martyr Head Constable of JK Police, Ashiq Hussain Qureshi. His courage and sacrifice will forever inspire us. The nation salutes his devotion to duty and stands firmly with his family,” Sinha said.

The Lieutenant Governor said that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Indian Army and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) were continuing coordinated operations to dismantle the terror ecosystem in the Union Territory.

He said the sacrifice of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, along with his legacy of selfless service, patriotism and dedication to the nation, would continue to inspire future generations and strengthen the resolve to build a peaceful, prosperous and developed Jammu and Kashmir.

Sinha also reiterated the government’s commitment to the welfare of the families of security personnel who lay down their lives in the service of the nation, saying the country would always remain indebted to its bravehearts.
