In his address, the Lieutenant Governor said that Mahavir’s philosophy transcends sectarian boundaries and promotes values essential for a peaceful and inclusive society. He stated that the Jain principle of ahimsa (non-violence) and the spirit of selfless service are crucial for both spiritual growth and social welfare.

Sinha said that institutions associated with the Jain community have consistently contributed to public welfare through charitable work, care for the sick, and support for environmental causes. He urged educational institutions to integrate these values into student learning to cultivate a culture of empathy and service.

“Youth should embrace selfless service not just as an act of empathy but as a spiritual practice and a way of life. This will help strengthen social unity and enrich cultural values,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

He added that Mahavir’s emphasis on compassion for all living beings and care for the environment should guide efforts to build a society rooted in collective responsibility and shared well-being.

The Lieutenant Governor also felicitated members of the Jain community, particularly the youth, for achievements in various fields.

The event was attended by senior officials, community members, and dignitaries including ADGP Armed Police Anand Jain, S S Jain Sabha President Pankaj Jain, Vice President Rajeev Jain, and General Secretary Sandeep Jain.
