SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday expressed grief over the deaths in a road accident in Kupwara district and directed the district administration to ensure the best possible medical treatment for those injured.
Five people were killed and several others injured after a Sumo vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge before falling into the Kishanganga river at Semari in the Karnah area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
In a post on X, Sinha offered condolences to the families of those who died and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
The Lieutenant Governor said he had directed the district administration to ensure that the injured receive the best possible treatment.
