SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday flagged off a run for ‘polythene-free Srinagar’ from historic Ganta Ghar in Lal Chowk area of Srinagar.
“The initiative is aimed at making cleaner streets, lakes and communities to bring better environmental sustainability in Jammu and Kashmir,” said LG Sinha in a tweet.

“The rally of around 600 children passed through various areas of the city to generate awareness against the use of polythene to make Srinagar polythene-free zone,” he said.
