SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a militant who had escaped from the encounter site in Mochwa area of Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
An official said that a militant who escaped from the encounter site, after following a lead, has been arrested in Khrew.
“A pistol and a grenade has been recovered from his possession. The truck driver also arrested,” a police official said.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a militant was killed in an encounter in Mochwa area of Budgam.
