LG Sinha Pays Tribute to Pahalgam Attack Victims, Reaffirms Commitment to Peace

   

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today attended the celebration of ‘Telangana Formation Day’ hosted by the Jammu and Kashmir Raj Bhawan in Srinagar. The event also marked Goa Day, which was observed on May 30.

Security personnel, students, and residents of Telangana and Goa currently living in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir were special invitees for the occasion.

The Lieutenant Governor extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of Telangana and Goa. He paid homage to the luminaries, revolutionaries, freedom fighters, social reformers, and eminent personalities from both states, recognising their significant contributions to nation-building.

“The rich cultural heritage and timeless values of the two states have strengthened the nation’s unity and integrity. May the blessed states continue to achieve greater heights in growth and development. I wish peace, prosperity, and well-being for all their citizens,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

In his address, the Lieutenant Governor also paid tribute to the civilians killed in Pahalgam terror attack. He saluted the courage and valour of the Indian Armed Forces for the successful execution of ‘Operation Sindoor’, which avenged the Pahalgam terror attack.

“Amidst all our diversity resides the unity we call Indianness. This spirit continues to inspire us to build a self-reliant and developed India. With steadfast commitment, we must ignite patriotism across all communities and unite society to shape a stronger future for the country,” he added.
