Life returned to normal in Kashmir on Wednesday after remaining affected for a day following a joint Resistance Leadership JRL call to protest against the “ill-treatment” meted out to JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik and others in Tihar jail.

All the shops and other business establishments opened today and traffic was seen plying on the roads. Deployment of government forces was also seen at different places in Srinagar and other places.

Meanwhile, no civilian traffic was allowed to ply on Kashmir highway today. The spokesman said that no movement of any kind of public vehicle shall be allowed from Udhampur towards Srinagar and vice versa, as the day has already been scheduled for army convoy.
