Magnitude 6.1 Earthquake Strikes Tyrrhenian Sea Near Italian coast

   

SRINAGAR: An earthquake of magnitude ‌6.1 struck the Tyrrhenian Sea off the ⁠west coast of Italy on Tuesday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) ‌said.

Data from the agency placed the quake at a depth of roughly 373 kilometers below the surface, measuring the epicenter about 16 kilometers south-southeast of the community.

The tremor struck about 40.4 kilometers northeast of Naples, which has a population of 909,048.
