SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Central Kashmir’s Budgam arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession in the Chadoora area.
“A team from Police Station Chadoora intercepted a suspicious person carrying a polythene bag in Repora village. He was identified as Bashir Ahmed Ganie, son of Ghulam Qadir Ganie, a resident of Wagam, Chadoora. Upon search, 307 grams of a charas-like substance wrapped in corn husk was recovered from his possession,” a police spokesperson said in a statement.
Police said, “Accordingly, a case (FIR No. 133/2025) under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chadoora, and investigation has been initiated.”
