A man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Srinagar while in Islamabad a lady tried to end her life setting by blazing herself.
Mohammad Maqbool Raina son of Ghulam Ahmad Raina resident of Haknar Kangan consumed some poisonous substance at Naseem Bagh, Hazratbal. He was shifted to hospital where he was declared brought dead. Srinagar police has registered a case FIR No.72/15 under section 309 in this regard, a police statement said.
In a bid to end her life, a lady (name with held) resident of Pahalgam set herself ablaze by sprinkling Kerosene-Oil on her body. She was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
The statement said that a pedestrian died after he was hit by a tipper in Baramulla.
A Tipper bearing registration number JK05B/6880 hit a pedestrian Kulveer Singh son of Shri Inder Singh resident of Nanak Nagar, Jammu at Mohra, Baramulla and died on spot. After completion of medico-legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
It added that acarpenter got electrocuted while working in a house in Kupwara.
A carpenter Wali Mohammad Lone son of Abdul Gani Lone resident of Aloosa received an electric shock while working in the house of Ashiq Mir resident of Rawathpora and received burn injuries. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
