SRINAGAR: A 35-year-old man died after suffering an electric shock near Aam Bab Ziyarat in the HMT area of Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
The victim was immediately shifted to JVC Hospital, Bemina, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Parray, son of Habibullah Parray, a resident of Allahipora, Wagoora, Kreeri in Baramulla district.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and have initiated further proceedings to ascertain the circumstances that led to the electrocution. (KNT)
