Man Injured in Bear Attack in South Kashmir, Hospitalised

   

SRINAGAR: A 65-year-old man was injured after being attacked by a wild bear near his native Chowgam village in the Shangus area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday, reports said.

The injured man was identified as Ghulam Hassan Magray, son of Habibullah Magray, a resident of Chowgam.

According to reports, Magray was outside when the bear suddenly appeared and attacked him, leaving him injured.

Following the incident, local residents rushed to the spot and shifted him to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Shangus for treatment. His condition was stated to be stable.
