Public Safety Act (PSA) order against Hurriyat (G) incarcerated leader and Muslim League president, Masrat Alam Bhat was revoked and he was soon re-arrested in some other cases, sources said.
Spokesperson of the Muslim League, Rafiq Ganai told Kashmir Life that PSA order was revoked on Thursday. “After the revocation of PSA, we submitted the bail documents to the jail authorities who released Masrat Sahab but was re-arrested in the jail premises immediately,” Ganai said.
Masrat was lodged in Baramulla district jail but after his re-arrest he was shifted to some undisclosed destination, Ganai said.
The pioneer of 2010 uprising Masrat is undergoing imprisonment since October 18, 2010. He has faced six PSAs in a row after his arrest.
A very popular voice among Kashmiri youth, Masrat is heading Muslim League which is a constituent of Hurriyat faction led by old and ailing separatist patriarch Syed Ali Geelani.
