One person died on the railway track in Pattan when he came under the train, a police statement said on Friday.
55 years old Mohammad Akbar Mir son of Habibullah Mir resident of Nihalpora, Pattan came under Train on the railway track at Hanjiwara, Pattan, resulting in his on spot death.
Meanwhile, an Army vehicle of 22 Raj Rifles, Camp Dawer Gurez that was on way from Bandipora to Gurez fell into a Nalla near Tragbal, in Pethkote, Bandipora, resulting in injuries to four army personnel.
All the injured were shifted to Army Hospital, Badami Bagh Srinagar where Rifleman Ram Niwas succumbed to his injuries.
An L.P Truck bearing registration number JK02AB/3873 hit a Maruti car bearing registration number JK18/7312 on HW near FCI Mir Bazar, in Kulgam district resulting in injuries to eight passengers. Among the injured persons Ashok Kumar son of Jodh Ram resident of Jammu succumbed to his injuries at District Hospital, Islamabad.
In another accident, an ECO vehicle bearing registration number JK05D/0838 hit and injured 11 years old Shahid Showkat Dar resident of Nowpora at Nowpora crossing, in Sopore. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Sopore for treatment.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK09/5950 turned turtle at Khudi, in Sogam, resulting in injuries to two passengers Saif-u-Din Khatana and Abdul Rashid Khatana residents of Khodi. Both the injured have been shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kupwara for treatment.
