SRINAGAR: A massive avalanche struck the Hung area of Sonamarg in the Ganderbal district on Friday, officials said. The avalanche resulted in the burial of atleast two vehicles.
Upon receiving directives from SSP Ganderbal, a police team promptly reached the site and successfully rescued the passengers in vehicles trapped under the avalanche. The incident prompted swift action from various authorities, including the Police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), local residents, and other agencies, to conduct rescue operations.
