An event on Material Management and Patient Safety was organized on Friday by SKIMS Srinagar in collaboration with Indian Institute of Material Management (IIMM) New Delhi.
The spokesman said that reputed faculty from IIMM and AIIMS participated in the program. V K Jain ( Former President IIMM) , M K Bhardwaj ( Chairman board of studies, IIMM) and Dr Nirupam Madaan ( additional Professor, hospital admin AIIMS) delivered lectures on essential aspects of material management and patient safety respectively. In addition, a panel discussion was held on challenges in the procurement process and was moderated by MS skims Professor Farooq A Jan. The program was sponsored by Johnson and johnson.
The event was held at the SKIMS auditorium and the overwhelming response was seen from concerned sections. The reputed faculty members, the staff of the material management section, nursing staff, concerned technicians, sectional heads and staff of hospital administration participated in the day-long programme.
The Programme was aimed at promoting awareness regarding new trends in the procurement process and developing a culture of patient safety.
