SRINAGAR: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Fact Check unit has rejected certain social media posts and news reports claiming an alleged “Iran donation scam” in Jammu and Kashmir, terming them as fake.

In a post on X, the MEA Fact Check unit warned the public against circulating or believing what it described as false and baseless claims being shared online. It also shared screenshots of the viral reports marked “FAKE” to counter the misinformation.
The advisory urged citizens to exercise caution and depend only on verified and authentic sources of information, cautioning that the spread of unverified content can lead to confusion and unnecessary panic.
