Expressing anguish over the killing of three youth in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir chief minister said that she was distressed to hear the killing of three civilians by militants.

“Distressed to hear of 3 civilians being killed by militants in Baramulla. My deepest condolences to the deceased’s families,” Mehbooba wrote on Twitter.

While former chief minister and opposition leader Omar Abdullah wanted the separatist leaders to condemn the killing of three civilians.

Taking to a social networking site Omar wrote “3 civilians have been murdered by terrorists in Baramulla just now. I’d like to see the separatist leaders issue the sort of condemnation they usually reserve for when civilians are killed by security forces.”

Three persons were shot dead by unknown gunmen at Khanpora area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday evening.

The gunmen fired upon the three persons near Iqbal Market Khanpora. In the incident, the trio sustained serious bullet wounds and died instantly on the spot.

The trio were identified as Asghar Khan, Asif and Haseeb Khan, all residents of Jamia Mohalla old Town Baramulla.
