“When the elite class was enjoying Zubin concert in Shalimar, the CRPF forces were killings innocent civilians in south Kashmir’s Shopian town,” said PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, while starting discussion on the killings of five people in Shopian on September 7 and 11.
Mehbooba alleged that government has lost its credibility and the common people are not ready to accept even the universal facts from it. She said, “The government did not even register an FIR in the Shopian killings when four people were killed on September 7 and it was registered later.”
“I think the people of Shopian are being victimized only because I consider Shopian as my home,” Mehbooba said adding the people of Shopian are being victimized time and again.
She referred to the killings of Aasia and Neelofar in 2009. PDP president also referred the killings in Markunadal and Kishtwar as well.
