Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti Friday advised all departments to put their activities and services in digital mode so as to improve their public interface and bring in more transparency in their activities.
Addressing a gathering after launching the Transparency Portal of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department, Mehbooba said bringing their activities and services onto online platform would not only encourage the deserving to get their rightful shares but also get the departments an enhanced public interface as well.
Mehbooba according to spokesman said for a year now she has been working to evolve an online mechanism in the government functioning wherein a common citizen would not have to move from table to table and office to office for redressal of his or her grievance. She said she is hopeful that such a system would be introduced soon giving the people the much needed relief.
Mehbooba complimented the FCS&CA department for the initiative adding that it would not only streamline the ration distribution by the Department in a transparent manner but also provide an opportunity for the consumers to directly communicate with the Departmental authorities.
