With hoardings of Mehbooba Mufti with congratulatory message in Jammu city by ETV network, the issue has snowballed in to controversy with various sections raising fingers on the “objectivity and freedom of media”.

The news coming is that special correspondent of ETV network in Kashmir and its award winning journalist Rifat Abdullah resigned from the network this afternoon.

Confirming the development, Rifat took to Facebook to announce his decision, “Dear Friends I have resigned from ETV Network on Moral grounds. ETV management has installed hoardings praising Mehbooba Mufti and questions have been raised by people about ETV credibility. Therefore I resigned from ETV. I have never compromised with my principles and never supported any party or individual.”

Abu ki Laadli, Kashmir ki Beti’, hoardings was responded first by National Conference when Omar Abdullah And Junaid Matto took to Twitter to put it sarcastically.

“I join ETV in its open enthusiasm to congratulate Mehbooba Mufti. Can’t possibly match their excitement though. ;-)”, tweeted Junaid.

While Omar responding to this, tweeted, “Hahahaha nice one Junaid. Yes their enthusiasm is all over Jammu city, you can’t miss it :)”
