Mian Altaf Seeks Time-Bound Probe, Fast-Track Trial in Kishtwar Minor’s Death

   

SRINAGAR: Senior National Conference leader and Lok Sabha MP Mian Altaf Ahmed has expressed anguish over the death of a minor schoolgirl in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district and called for a time-bound investigation and fast-track trial in the case.

In a statement, Altaf described the incident as horrifying and an unpardonable violation of public trust, urging the administration to ensure a transparent and comprehensive investigation.

He called for the establishment of a dedicated fast-track court to conduct day-to-day hearings so that the trial is completed without unnecessary procedural delays and the victim’s family gets speedy justice.

Altaf said the nature of the crime had shocked the conscience of society and stressed that all aspects of the case must be investigated thoroughly and transparently.

He also said that anyone found guilty should face the strictest punishment permissible under law after due process.

The National Conference leader urged the administration to take immediate steps to ensure justice for the victim’s family and prevent delays in the legal proceedings.
