Minister Javid Dar Launches Rs 4.5 Crore Development Projects in Baramulla

   

SRINAGAR: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative, and Election Departments, Javid Ahmad Dar, on Tuesday laid the foundation stones for several developmental projects worth over Rs 4.5 crore across multiple blocks of Baramulla district under the UT Capex and District Capex schemes.

At Nadihal, the Minister inaugurated works for the construction of a Block Development Council (BDC) Office Building worth Rs 125.16 lakh and a bridge over Nallah Daikal Ladoora costing Rs 25 lakh, both under the UT Capex scheme.

He also launched projects at Rohama, Rafiabad, and Kandi Rafiabad blocks, including a Community Hall-cum-Multipurpose Centre at Humdub Panzalla costing Rs 65 lakh, an RCC Box Type Culvert at Budden Saripara worth Rs 32.90 lakh, and two major projects at Kangroosa — a Community Hall (Rs 80 lakh) and a BDC Office Building (Rs125.16 lakh).

Speaking at various locations, Dar reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enhancing rural connectivity, strengthening local governance, and improving administrative and community infrastructure.

Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, SA Raina, and Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla, Mudasir Hussain Choudhary, the Minister reviewed the ongoing development works and interacted with local residents, who expressed gratitude for the government’s sustained focus on inclusive and sustainable rural development.
